Known by its military designation as High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicle, is a light, highly mobile tactical vehicle with diesel engine and four-wheel drive, which uses a chassis to transport a wide range of military equipment and weapons from machine guns to tube weapons, optically tracked, wire-guided (TOW) etc. It must operate in a wide range of terrains, from deserts to jungles, for long periods of time, with minimal maintenance. In our unit, we then use the “cargo” version to transport the aforementioned squad. A second piece with a combat, armored turret in USMC configuration with a machine gun is planned for the future.
