In addition to activities focused on training and participation in combat simulations, the unit regularly participates in events intended for the general public, the aim of which is to present our activities, equipment and the theme of the modern United States Marine Corps (USMC) in the form of demonstrations, static exhibits and interactive presentations.
Participation in public events is an important part of our activities. It serves not only to promote the club itself, but above all to educate and familiarize the public with the functioning of a modern infantry unit, with the tactics, equipment, weapons and procedures used in contemporary armed forces.
One of the most important events we participate in every year is the Pilsen Freedom Festival. This event commemorates the liberation of the city by the American army in 1945 and is one of the largest events of its kind in Central Europe.
Our unit is performing here in the modern section, where we present the current appearance and equipment of the USMC. It includes static displays of equipment, weapons, organizational structures and demonstrations of field activities. As the highlight of our program, we conclude with the "Convoy of Freedom" with our modern USMC equipment. Visitors have the opportunity to get acquainted with the material used, weapons and tactical elements of modern marine units.
The second major public event is Hollywood US Cars Holýšov, focused on American culture, motoring and military themes. Here, the unit regularly provides demonstrations of modern military equipment and USMC equipment, supplemented by interpretation, practical demonstrations of movement in the field and the possibility of interaction with visitors. The presentations are designed to bring closer the real functioning of the unit, the principles of modern equipment and the system of organization of an infantry squad.
In addition to the above events, we also participate in smaller regional events, memorial services and thematic meetings, where we represent our unit and activities within the reenactment and milsim community. In these cases, we focus on professional explanations, demonstrations of tactical equipment, medical supplies, communications equipment and a basic presentation of the activities of an infantry unit.
All public presentations are organized with an emphasis on professionalism, safety, and factual accuracy. The unit appears in gear and equipment that meets current USMC standards, and the presentations are led by members who actively participate in training and combat simulations.
The goal of participating in public events is the long-term promotion of reenactment activities, bringing the principles of modern military science closer to the public, and developing awareness of the activities of the armed forces in the current context.
