The KVH Devil Dogs z.s. unit emphasizes the credibility, reliability and responsibility of its members. For this reason, it is required that the applicant has not been convicted of an intentional crime and that his/her previous actions have not damaged the good name of the unit or the community in which he/she operates.
The requirement for a clean criminal record is based on the nature of the unit's activities, which include representing the United States Armed Forces in reenactment and military environments, participating in public events, and collaborating with official institutions and organizations. Unit members appear in public in uniform and use military equipment and weapons, so it is essential to maintain integrity and an appropriate personal profile.
A clean criminal record is seen as a fundamental sign of personal integrity and a guarantee that the applicant acts in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic. This requirement contributes to protecting the reputation of the unit and ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with legal regulations and the ethical principles of the association.
Applicants who do not meet this condition cannot be accepted. Integrity is a necessary criterion not only for entry, but also for continued membership in the unit. In the event that a member loses his integrity during his tenure, his membership may be terminated by decision of the management of the association.
The requirement of a clean criminal record is therefore not a formal measure, but a tool to maintain the professionalism, trust and good reputation of the unit as an organized association operating in the field of military history and reenactment.
