Thematic exercise

Various exercises form an integral part of our focus and represent training within our reenactment unit. These are internal, mostly private events intended for members of the association, the main goal of which is to improve individual and team skills in various areas of military activity. Each exercise is focused on a specific topic that corresponds to the context and theme of the specific exercise focus.

During these trainings, we not only learn the basic skills of a Marine, but we also focus on more advanced tactical procedures. Regularly practiced areas include:

  • Green tactics – movements in the field, camouflage, silent approach to the target, orientation in the landscape and communication on the move.
  • Close Quarters Battle (CQB) – training in advancing in buildings, clearing rooms and coordination of the unit in a limited space.
  • Topographic and navigational preparation – working with a map and compass, orientation in unknown terrain, determination of position and planning of the route including so-called landings.
  • Field habits – building shelters, starting a fire, preparing food in field conditions and ensuring basic comfort during multi-day exercises.
  • Shooting and tactical-technical drills – safe handling of weapons, taking up shooting positions, reaction to contact, cover and movement on the battlefield.
  • Communication training – radio communication and the doctrine of walkie-talkies and communication technology, signals, transmission of orders and team coordination.

Each exercise is prepared with an emphasis on authenticity, accuracy and practical applicability. We use a combination of original regulations, modern tactical knowledge and the experience of our members, many of whom have a military or security background across the IZS and ACR branches. Training takes place in diverse environments - from forest and mountain areas to abandoned buildings to artificially created CQB training areas.

Thematic exercises allow us not only to improve physically and tactically, but also to strengthen team spirit and bonds between unit members. This is an important preparation for larger public events, "combat" events or trips to events abroad, where coordination and discipline are the key to a successful presentation of our club and the reenactment scene as a whole.
